WHO IS...
SUITE57 is Sander van der Poort plus network. Sander studied Graphic design and Spatial design. He worked at architectural offices such as OMA and Van Bergen Kolpa Architects before deciding to start his own office beginning 2009. Sander draws inspiration from just about everything, from architecture to modern ballet and from art to food. His work is often graphical and noticeable for smart solutions with an edge and a sense of humour.
Since the start in 2009 SUITE57 worked for different kinds of clients. Small clients like SHPPR, KIPGALLERY and COMIQUEST as well as larger clients like LEVI'S and ICENTO.
At SUITE57 we have the advantage of a great, big network of not only creatives, but also builders that surrounds us. This is why we can do small, but also bigger projects. We have expertise in spacial design like interiors, but we also work on a larger scale.
We have a team of experts around us, so we can deliver a complete plan. From sketch till opening. We have a lot of knowledge around us and we're not afraid to use it to make new, refreshing and usable designs.

Next to SUITE57 Sander teams up regularly with other designers. Together with Sophie Duran he organizes exhibitions under the name DURAN//VANDERPOORT where they have set up a platform for young designers to show their work to a wider audience. The latest show was in New York during New York Design Week, May 2011 and was called HOW IT'S MADE, and why it's so fucking expensive.
In their portfolio there are more than 30 designers from different kind of disciplines such as, jewellery, fashion and product design.

HOW WE WORK
SUITE57 crosses the boundaries of traditional design disciplines such as architecture, interior design and landscape design as well as public space.
In our designs we mainly focus upon the flow of space between interior and exterior environments. The emphasis hereby is upon working with PEOPLE and SPACE, particularly looking at the notion of place, as well as place identity and genius loci. Therefor we cover a variety of scales, from detailed design of interior spaces to larger projects.
In the design process we want to be involved from beginning to end, to maintain good quality and we believe that is the best basis with our clients, by communicating regularly.
